Rawat Fort

---Rawat Fort is an early 16th century fort in the Pothohar plateau of Pakistan, in Rawalpindi. The fort was built to defend the Pothohar plateau from the forces of the Pashtun king Sher Shah Suri.

 

 

 

Ayub National Park

---Ayub National Park formerly known as 'Topi Rakh' (keep the hat on) is located between the Murree Brewery Co. and Grand Trunk Road. It covers an area of about 2,300 acres (930 HA) and has a play area, lake with boating facility, an aquarium, a garden-restaurant and an open-air theater. This park hosts "The Jungle Kingdom" which is particularly popular among young and children residents.

 

 

Liaquat Bagh

---​It is formerly known as the "Company Bagh" (East India Company's Garden), which is of great historical interest. The first Prime Minister of Pakistan, Liaquat Ali Khan in 1950 and Former Late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on 27 December 2007 were assassinated in the same park.

 

 

 

Taxila Museum

---Located in the Taxila Tehsil of District Rawalpindi, this museum is home to a significant and comprehensive collection of Gandharan art dating from the 1st to the 7th centuries CE. Most objects in the collection were excavated from the ruins of ancient Taxila.

 

 

 

 

---Pakistan Army Museum Rawalpindi

The museum is located in Pakistan Army's General Headquarters (GHQ) complex of buildings. Opened on October 24, 1961 the museum is a must-see for weaponry and war history enthusiasts.

 

 

Fatima Jinnah Women University

---Fatima Jinnah Women University is a public university in the neighborhood of Mall Road of Rawalpindi, Punjab. Regarded as the first women's university in Pakistan. It is ranked at number 18 in general category of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan rankings.
